In this Guide you will learn how to create a Solution in DATAFLOW Designer. A Solution defines the place on your computer where you save your work.
DATAFLOW Designers offers two solution formats:
- Single File
All your data is stored in a single binary file. This is good when you plan to share the solution with other developers using a document management system or file share with exclusive checkout.
- Multi File
All your data is stored inside a single folder as a set of text files. This format is good if you plan to check your work into a source coontrol management system such as git, because it allows to merge your work with changes from others (using external tools).
Create Solution Wizard Dialog
The Dialog to create a new solution can be shown in the following ways:
Press Ctrl + N on the Keyboard
|File / New
Select the File Ribbon and click New.
Note: If another Solution is already open, it must be closed first.
Creating a new Solution is done in 3 steps:
- Select a Name, Location and Format for the Solution
- Select the Initial Project inside the Solution
- Configure the selected Project

Step 3: Configure the selected Project
