The DATAFLOW Diagram Editors support image objects to enhance diagrams with additional information. Images can be added using copy pase, drag and drop or using the Toolbox Window. A single image can be used in multiple diagrams to save memory and prevent inconsistencies.
Typical Use Cases
Add Image to Diagram
To add an image, drag the image file from the Windows Explorer to the Diagram area. An image object will be created. It is also possible to copy the image from any external application and paste it to the diagram. The image data is added to the DATAFLOW Project, so there is no need to keep the added image on its original location. Changes to the original image will not have any effects on the DATAFLOW project.
Position and Resize Image
The image can be freely positioned, rotated and scaled to fit in the diagram. The original image size is stored in the background, so it can be reset to its original size at any time.
To remove an image, select the image and press the DELETE key. It is also possible to click the delete button on the Home ribbon to select 'Delete' from the context menu when right clicking on an image object. When an image is removed from a diagram, the image data will also be removed from the project if the same image is not used in any other diagram (see below).
To update an image with a new version, remove the old image and add the new image as described above.
Use same Image in other Diagram
To use an existing image in a diagram, open the Toolbox window and drop an image object to the diagram. A dialog will be shown where any image existing in the current project can be selected. It is also possible to add new image in the dialog instead.
