In this Guide you will learn how to Update your Installation of the DATAFLOW Software.

Check for Available Updates

The recommended way of keeping your DATAFLOW software up to date is to enable automatic updates by checking the Application option 'Auto Check on startup'. This can be found in File / Options / Environment / Update.

A manual check for a pending software update can be performed by clicking the 'Check for Update' button. This can be found on the same configuration page.

Perform Software Update

When a new update is available, a notification dialog is displayed.

Click 'Update' to start the software update. This will launch the DATAFLOW Installer. Installation of an update works the same way as the initial installation.

Change DATAFLOW Environment

The DATAFLOW Software uses the Productive environment by default when installed. Normally, this is fine and does not need to be changes. If you need to access a preview version of the software, it may be necessary to change the environment.

Note:

Each environment is fully isolated from each other. This means, you username and password may not work for other environment. We will provide sign in credentials for previews when necessary and will disable them once the preview period has ended.

To change the environment, the current user must be signed out first. Click the Sign Out button in the Account Page (File / Options / Account).

Confirm the Sign Out in the Sign Out Dialog by clicking 'Sign Out'.

The Application will restart and the Sign In Dialog is displayed. Select the required DATAFLOW Server in the drop down field and enter the credentials you have received for this account. Click 'Sign In'.
